Meet Donna
I’m Donna Adams Shannon, a ceramic artist who works in small batches, guided by heritage, memory, and the rhythm of my hands. My art is shaped from stoneware clay—strong, earthy, and expressive—just like the people and stories I carry with me.
Each piece I create is a reflection of where I’ve been and who I come from. My work is inspired by African and African American traditions, by the quiet beauty of everyday rituals, and by the ancestors who speak through form and fire.
No two pieces are alike, because no two stories are. I work slowly, intentionally—letting the clay speak and honoring its transformation. I’m not in a rush. This is about connection, legacy, and presence.
Welcome to my studio, my table, my roots in clay. I’m so glad you’re here.
